MAITAKE is a supplement based on Maitake (grifola frondosa) for the body’s natural defenses. Powerful immunostimulant on lymphocytes and NK cells, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective and antiglycemic, it achieves good results on blood pressure regulation and is a great shield against viral infections. Grifola Frondosa is the scientific name, Maitake (Latin name), in Japanese means “dancing mushroom” (MAI as “dance” and TAKE as “mushroom”), also known as “hen of the woods” and “sheep’s head”. In Japan it is called the “King of Mushrooms”, used to promote general health and well-being. Much research has proven its properties as a tonic and adaptogen and, in the feudal era, it was valued by its weight in silver.

For its beneficial properties, in China and Japan, it has been used as a remedy and as a food for over 3,000 years. The mushroom contains potassium, iron, magnesium, amino acids, vit. B1, B2, B3, a precursor of vit. D2, various polysaccharides including grifolano and grifolina, lectins, metalloproteins, grifon D (Maitake D fraction), a potent blend of beta glucans, easily absorbed by mouth.
